Simple Brown Shirt
Add I wore it in Fiji and even got to milk a cow wearing it! (once there I couldn't find it and was freaking out and made everyone on my team search for it until we found it. That's how much I like it). caption |

And I wore it with a skirt to church and a family outing my first year at BYU. My, how the time flies! |
Polka Dot Red Shirt
I love love LOVE this shirt! It is so cute and feminine. And happy. I always get compliments on it. I wore it last February 14th, and my good friend Kevin said to me, "Katherine, you look just like a Valentine!" Loved that ;-)
For Eliza's baby shower ;-)
With my 3 best friends! (Sara, Maizy, and Renae)
And 3 more best friends! (and former roomies) I like the pearls...
Oh, and I always wear this special article of clothing to match this shirt:

The Amazing Grey Capris
My grey capris really are quite wonderful. First and foremost, they are incredibly flattering on me. Also, they are a high-end brand, but I got them for, like, $6 at Plato's closet! Love a good deal. And a boy from my past once commented on multiple occasions that he liked them on me. BTW perhaps it is borderline inappropriate for guys to be checking out my butt and stuff, but boys will be boys, right? And I'd be lying if I said I didn't like their compliments. Also, if I recall correctly, I was wearing these when I had a first kiss with someone. Like I said, these capris are quite amazing.

Lacy Tops
I have two lacy tops- one black and one white. And I don't wear them that often. They are kinda for special occasions I guess. There is a tendency for lacy tops to look like lingerie, so you have to be careful.

Striped Twofer Dress
I bought this dress online. It's a twofer dress, which means it's like a shirt and a skirt put together. And it is way big on me, but somehow it still works. My mom told me she had a dress like this once. I vaguely remember her wearing it when I was younger. Like mother like daughter.
Dinner with old friends, where my ubiquitous gray pea-coat makes an appearance.
An artist/weird self shot. I joked that it would be the cover of one of my later albums, where the stripes symbolize my prison when fame and fortune take their toll of my delicate soul.

Red Skinnies!
My red skinnies are very special to me. And not just because 2 former boy-toys loved them on me. They are so fun! I think they simultaneously flatter me and also show off my curves. What a fantastic paradox!
Since red is kind of a bold color, especially for pants, I try to pair them with a simple top, usually black or gray.

Soda Pop Top Earrings
It is rare for me to devote an entire post to a piece of jewelry, especially since I don't wear a lot of jewelry. Nevertheless, my soda pop top earrings deserve it!
I purchased them for, get this, $1. One dollar for some earrings that have gotten me a lot of attention! (they were one of the first things that caught the eye of a boy I semi-dated last summer) Where did I buy them, you may ask? The 7th and 8th graders at my school, Reagan Academy, had a sale of odds and ends for their business class.

Gray Dress
Once upon a time I was going to serve a mission. So I bought this cute gray dress, because as we all know, the best way to prepare to serve the Lord is to get cute clothes (kidding). And even though I didn't end up going on a mish, I still had this cute dress, which I love love LOVE! (upon seeing me in this dress, a boy I once dated said, "Katherine, you look GOOD.") Since it is so beautiful, I only wear it on days where I look super cute. Like I've had enough sleep and have time to do my hair and stuff.
Curly Hair...
Ever since I was in 9th grade I've been obsessed with straight hair. I was always on the search for the perfect flat-iron, and I've gotten my hair chemically straightened 3 times in the past 4 years.
But why??? Really. My curly hair is pretty. At least sometimes. Maybe I should embrace it more.
Btw, the following pictures feature my natural curls. Besides a bit of gel, they are natch. No curling irons were used.
My Piano Dress
The following dress was dubbed "the piano dress" by my friend Allan a few years ago at a wedding reception. So once upon a time I happened to open a closet at my mom and dad's house in Provo and saw this dress. What was it doing in there? Apparently my dear sister Maizy had put it there (along with some other clothes, though none as exquisite and remarkable as this dress). I asked her if she was going to wear it or what. She told me timidly that it was part of a collection of clothes she was planning to give to her children. After laughing at her a bit (and then apologizing), I kindly but firmly told her that if she wasn't going to wear this dress herself I would claim it. And thus, this magnificent dress became mine.
I love the sleeves. They are big, but they don't look frumpy. This dress will definitely cover the g-line. Thank goodness I won't have to give it up once I become a temple VIP.
With my amazing sister Maizy without whom I wouldn't have the dress!
Not a great quality picture, I know. But that boy to my left also was a fan of this dress ;-)
